About Lisa TheLandstronaut
Lisa TheLandstronaut® Alcindor is a pioneering global economist, humanitarian astronaut candidate, and the founder of Landstronaut®, a U.S.–based enterprise at the forefront of planetary survivability, space innovation, and capital diplomacy. With over 15 years of experience engaging with the Department of Defense, NASA, the U.S. Air Force, and the Pentagon, she brings unmatched expertise at the intersection of aerospace, resilience finance, and national security.
She serves as a Senator for the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), an institution affiliated with the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, where she leads global initiatives to establish cross-border capital systems, investment corridors, and inclusive economic models for frontier and emerging markets.
Lisa is among fewer than ten melanated women worldwide to reach astronaut candidacy in the 21st century. Her groundbreaking work in gender equity for space exploration includes campaigning for the design of a radiation-shielded space suit for reproductive protection, a pioneering contribution to the advancement of space medicine and biosecurity.
Through Landstronaut, she integrates advanced technologies, biosafety research, and national defense insights to strengthen humanity’s ability to survive and thrive in extreme terrestrial and extraterrestrial environments.
She is also the architect of the U.S.–Africa Space Investment Corridor, an integrated framework composed of the Global Space League, Land-to-Space Corps, and the Global Space Workforce Development Association. Together, these institutions drive capital formation, infrastructure deployment, and workforce training across continents, creating the foundation for equitable participation in the global space economy.
A graduate of Florida A&M University in Economics, with specialized training in federal-level aerospace and acquisition systems, Lisa operates at the nexus of innovation diplomacy, inclusive finance, and planetary design. Her leadership unites governments, investors, and institutions in pursuit of a common mission: ensuring human resilience on Earth while responsibly advancing into space.

Lisa TheLandstronaut Alcindor (astronaut candidate) graduated from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and has a minor in business which enabled her to join the Federal Government.
Space Business:
During her career, she worked on special programs for NASA, the Air Force, NAVY, NATO, and Army. Her expertise drove her to managing the build of space telescopes, satellites, fighter jets, rocket propulsion systems, body armor textiles, and network infrastructures. During her employment in the aeronautical industry, she also supported prominent names such as WizKid, and Pharrell Williams as a professional dancer.
